At a recent gathering in Accra, actress Oheneyere Mercy Asiedu expressed her strong support for John Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), during a meeting with the Creative Arts community.
She passionately highlighted the positive impact Mahama had on the creative arts sector during his previous tenure as President, citing examples of tangible support and improvements.
Asiedu emphasized her confidence in Mahama’s ability to deliver on his promises to the creative arts community once again.
John Mahama, a seasoned politician and former President of Ghana, is running as the NDC’s flagbearer in the 2024 election, alongside Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman, a respected academic and former Minister of Education.
Their collaborative effort in the 2020 election garnered substantial support, although they ultimately lost, with Mahama polling 47.36% of the votes.
