Regional Maritime University (RMU) is a leading institution of higher learning in Ghana, located in Accra. Established in 1983, it was initially known as the Regional Maritime Academy.

According to Professor S.O. Oppong, the Faculty Dean of Engineering and Allied Sciences at RMU, the university is the hub of knowledge in maritime learning.
Speaking on Ahotor 92.3 FM‘s ‘Yepe Ahunu‘ with host Nana Dogbe, Prof. Oppong emphasized the importance of continuous learning and upgrading skills as new technologies emerge.
