The President of the Ghana Football Association Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku has revealed that all regional FAs are to introduce Girls U15 and U17 leagues across the country as it is a gradual pathway for player development for girls.
Kurt also reveals that the FA has established youth national teams such as the u15,u16,u17,u18 etc for girls to have the opportunity to nurture their talents.
The women’s national teams used to be U17, U 20 and the women’s national team(Black Queens) and believe the creation of the new national teams for girls is a way to empower them and a long-term goal of the FA.
The FA president believes a career pathway for girls has Started and emphasized that the country will reap the benefit of this initiative.
