Responding to the question of whether he thinks President Akufo-Addo should assent to the anti-LGBTQ+ bill into law, the Ga ruler noted that the subject is not an important one that needs to engage his attention.
The anti-LGBTQ+ bill has been a subject of controversy and a legal tussle currently before the Supreme Court of Ghana over the past months after Parliament passed the bill.
The Ga Mantse holds the view that people’s privileges and preferences should not be a subject of interest.
