Mahama has been consistent in his words – Okada Riders

The Okada Riders Association of Ghana said it is hopeful about the establishment of an electric Motorbikes Assembly Plant in Ghana if John Mahama wins the 2024 General Elections.

Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama has revealed intentions to set up an electric motorbike assembling plant when elected president.

According to the former President, these electricity-powered motorbikes will replace the existing fuel-powered engines presently used for commercial activity.

Mr. Mahama indicated that the electric-powered bikes when successfully rolled out will reduce the cost involved in using ‘Okada’ and tricycles for transport.

Speaking to motorbike riders in Ashaiman, Mr. Mahama declared that the party has incorporated the legalization of Okada services into its 2024 manifesto.

He criticised the current government for failing to fulfill its promise of replacing motorbikes with cars

In an interview with Ahotor News, Michael Kofi Owusu the national president of the Okada Riders Association of Ghana expressed confidence in Mahama’s ability to fulfill his promise certain that he has been consistence in providing them the opportunity to enhance their operations.
