Southampton heads back to the English premier league after beating leads united
Southampton have secured promotion to the premier league after beating Leeds united 1- 0 at Wembley in a championship payoffs and the only side to do the double over Leeds during the iregular championship season including a 2-1 win on the final day.
The saints enter into the clashed confident of winning the game as both team struggle to established foothold on the first quarter of the first half. Southampton took the leed at the 24th minutes of the game, a goal from Adams Armstrong was enough for the saints to secure victory over Leeds and also get promotion to the premiership.
Leeds united fought back in the second half as Daniel James was denied a stoppage time equaliser by Alex McCarthy.
Southampton victory could eject over £100 into the team.
