It’s disgraceful that we abuse our nation’s security infrastructure – Security Consultant.

The NPP government has illegally allocated 30 slots to all NPP parliamentary candidates across the country for recruitment into the security services.

In an interview with Mr. Richard Kumadoe, Security Consultant on Ahotor 92.3FM’s morning show, he said, “In the police, we have political police, protocol police, and professional police, and the same applies to the military and immigration.”

According to Mr. Kumadoe, the implications are that whenever there is violence in town, you will hear that the police or military are involved.

They can also be used for political vigilantism during elections.

The most dangerous aspect is that as a national security infrastructure, we are giving positions to unqualified people in terms of expertise and skills, all because of politics.

This means we are not building our security infrastructure but rather weakening it.

Mr. Kumadoe added that as a nation, it is a shame where we have gotten to the point where some people in the security services have no business being there. They don’t qualify by structure or standard.

As a country, we don’t know what we are doing because, in the service, we don’t know who qualifies or who doesn’t, and this is bad for us as a nation.
