Aikins Ofori, the Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Abuakwa South Constituency of the Eastern Region, is issuing a stern warning that the NDC will not succumb to intimidation tactics from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
Mr. Ofori alleges that the NPP, through the Electoral Commission (EC), is attempting to intimidate the NDC. However, he asserts that the NDC will resist such attempts, citing the ongoing limited registration exercise as evidence of their determination.
He further calls upon the National Peace Council to denounce the actions of the EC, emphasizing the potential threat to the country’s peace.
During an appearance on Ahotor 92.3 FM‘s ‘Simpieso’ program, hosted by Emmanuel Martey, the 2024 Foklex Political Show Host of the Year, Aikins Ofori characterizes the 2024 elections as a tit-for-tat scenario (‘You do me I do you’), stating that they will not allow the NPP to intimidate them into manipulating the general polls.
