The Miami Heat’s relentless offensiveness leaves the Boston Celtics in disbelief
The Miami Heat unleashed a barrage of three-pointers to even the series with a stunning 111-101 victory over the top-seeded Boston Celtics in the NBA Eastern Conference playoffs.
Eighth-seeded Miami Heat players exhibited a resilient performance to tie the best-of-seven series at 1-1 as they prepare to return to Florida for game three on Saturday.
Tyler Herro led the Miami offense with 24 points, contributing to a well-rounded offensive display that saw all five Heat starters score in double digits. However, the pivotal factor in Miami’s triumph was their remarkable accuracy from beyond the arc, as they made 23 three-pointers out of 43 attempts, in contrast to Boston’s 12 out of 32.
Herro showcased his prowess by sinking six three-pointers, while Caleb Martin added five to his total of 21 points. Additionally, Bam Adebayo concluded with 21 points, Jaime Jaquez Jr. with 14, and Nikola Jovic with 11.
Herro expressed his surprise at the victory, especially after Miami’s 20-point loss to Boston in game one, and highlighted how it fueled their performance in the second game.
Furthermore, Herro shared that Jimmy Butler had motivated him to embrace a leadership role in the absence of the injured Miami star.
