A tragic shooting incident in Tema New Town on Friday night resulted in the loss of four lives, with ten others currently hospitalized at Tema General Hospital for treatment.
Joshua Agudah, the Assemblyman for Dade Agbo Electoral Area, disclosed that the incident occurred during the final night of the Kplejoo celebration. According to reports, a group of jubilant youth blocked a vehicle carrying officers from the Eastern Command of the Ghana Navy, prompting the officers to fire shots to disperse the crowd.
The Ghana Navy has yet to issue a statement regarding the incident, while the police have initiated investigations.
