The Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at BOST Energies, Mr. Emmanuel Mettle Nunu Jnr., has appealed to the youth and the general public to conduct themselves responsibly during the Christmas season to ensure a peaceful and safe celebration.
According to him, the festive period should not be an excuse for negative or reckless behaviour, especially among the youth. He strongly advised young people to refrain from drug abuse, excessive alcohol consumption, and other acts that could endanger their lives and the safety of others.
He noted that such behaviours often lead to long-term consequences that outweigh the temporary excitement of the season.
Mr. Mettle Nunu Jnr. also cautioned motorists and commuters to remain alert and vigilant on the roads, stressing that road accidents tend to increase during festive seasons due to speeding, drunk driving, and lack of concentration.
He specifically urged drivers to avoid drinking alcohol before or while driving and to stay focused at all times behind the wheel.
Highlighting the true essence of Christmas, he reminded the public that the season is about love, peace, and sharing with one another, particularly the less privileged in society.
He encouraged families, communities, and corporate institutions to use the occasion to spread kindness and promote unity.
He further called on all road users to respect traffic regulations and exercise patience, adding that collective responsibility and discipline will help reduce accidents and make the Christmas celebrations safer and more enjoyable for everyone.
