Kofi Adams, representing the Buem Constituency in Parliament, pointed fingers at the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), asserting that they are responsible for the nation’s economic challenges rather than politicians in general.
Addressing the issue on Accra-based Ahotor 92.3 FM, Hon. Adams emphasized the importance for journalists to be forthright and directly confront the NPP about their mismanagement of the economy. He stressed that journalists must be courageous in holding the NPP accountable, underscoring that not all politicians should bear the brunt of blame for the country’s woes.
Highlighting the responsibility placed on the shoulders of President His Excellency Akufo-Addo and his Vice, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Adams noted that citizens pay taxes to their administration. Therefore, if Ghanaians seek someone to hold accountable for the prevailing hardships, it should squarely fall on them.
