Ghanaian Boxer Janet Acquah wins Bronze at 13th African Games
Ghanaian Female Boxer Janet Acquah has made her mark by securing the bronze medal in the Women’s 49kg minimum weight category at the 13th African Games .
Janet Acquah secured the bronze medal despite a majority decision (4-1) loss to Algeria’s Mansouri Fatiha. The bronze medal is little surprise given Janet Acquah’s remarkable progress in the past.
The event, which took place at the Bukom Trust Arena in a thrilling atmosphere showcased Acquah’s exceptional talent and determination.
In September 2023 , Janet Acquah was part of the Ghana’s Black Hitters team at the Olympic Qualifiers in Dakar and despite making it to the quarter-finals stage of the 13th African Games, she was unable to secure qualification for the Paris.
Her rigorous training regimen and unwavering commitment to her craft propelled her through the ranks, culminating in this impressive achievement in the 13th African game.
With her bronze medal win, Acquah has not only brought glory to herself but also to Ghana and her success serves as an inspiration to aspiring female boxers across the Ghana , highlighting the potential for greatness within Ghana’s boxing community.
