If the President hadn’t been negligent and inactive, The ECG Boss would have been fired by now – Richard Fiadomor

Dr. Richard Fiadomor, the President of the Chamber of Local Governance (CHALOG), is demanding the removal of Samuel Dubik Mahama, the Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), due to the recent power cuts.

Addressing the issue of ‘dumsor,’ ECG MD attributes the power disruptions to maintenance problems. Samuel Dubik Mahama, the Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), has clarified that the recent electricity supply interruptions affecting various parts of the country are a result of maintenance issues.

Dr. Fiadomor believes that the real reason behind the power outages is the financial strain on the country, and he views Mr. Mahama’s explanation as a diversionary tactic. He expressed his concerns to Nana Dogbe, stating, “The main issue is that the country is in serious financial trouble. If today Dubik Mahama is trying to tell us that it’s maintenance issues, then why is he disconnecting electricity from state-owned institutions? He even had the nerve to disconnect electricity from Parliament.”

Dr. Fiadomor suggested that if President Akufo-Addo had been more proactive, Samuel Dubik Mahama would have been dismissed by now.

If the President hadn’t been negligent and inactive, Dubik Mahama would have been fired by now,” he remarked.
