The Ghana Football Association’s Executive Council has agreed with the decision made by a five-member committee to appoint Otto Addo as the new coach of the Black Stars. They met on Thursday, March 14, 2024, and finalized this decision.
Currently, with Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, Otto Addo will be released to take up the position. He’ll be offered a contract lasting 34 months, with an option to extend for another 24 months.
President Simeon-Okraku mentioned that many talented coaches applied for the job, and the committee interviewed several of them to understand how they planned to improve the team quickly given Ghana’s specific situation.
Otto Addo will join Ghana for the March international window, then return to Borussia Dortmund to officially hand over before starting his new role permanently.
