Charles K. Baah, a Communication Team Member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ablekuma North constituency, has assured Ghanaians that the current low schedule of electricity in the country does not indicate a return of dumsor. Baah emphasized that the NPP government, under the leadership of President Nana Addo, is actively addressing the issues contributing to the temporary electricity supply challenges.
Baah pointed out that the current situation is largely due to challenges faced by the Volta River Authority (VRA). However, he reassured citizens that the government is committed to resolving these issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted power supply nationwide.
Highlighting some of the measures being undertaken, Baah mentioned the installation of a 31-megawatt solar power facility in the Northern part of the country. This initiative aims to bolster the energy supply to the Northern sector, thus alleviating the strain on the national grid.
Addressing concerns about the need for a schedule from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to manage electricity usage effectively, Baah emphasized the government’s determination to prevent a return to dumsor. He stated unequivocally that Ghanaians can trust the NPP administration to prioritize the restoration of stable electricity supply and ensure that citizens have access to power around the clock.
In summary, Baah’s message underscores the NPP’s commitment to resolving the current electricity supply challenges, assuring Ghanaians that dumsor will not resurface under the leadership of the NPP.
