Despite the financial investments required for security, President Nana Addo Dankwa stressed that ensuring peace and security is the primary responsibility of the state. The government has significantly expanded the Armed Forces and other security agencies, paying careful attention to their welfare and improving their accommodation and physical environment.
The President underscored the importance of addressing the security concerns of citizens in their daily lives, particularly focusing on the safety of streets, homes, and communities. He praised the Ghana Police Service for its lead role in maintaining peace and security, noting their increased visibility on the streets and improved equipment. Additionally, he highlighted the impressive transformation of the Police Headquarters in Accra as a testament to the changing image of the police force.
