President Akufo-Addo Set to Address Parliament on State of the Nation

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will speak to Parliament about the State of the Nation on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, as required by Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution.

This law says the President must talk about the State of the Nation at the beginning of each session and before Parliament ends.

In the speech, the President will talk about the main things the government wants to do this year and how they plan to improve the economy.

Earlier in February, the Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, told Parliament about this. He said, “According to Article 67 of the Constitution, the President will talk to the House about the State of the Nation on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. Members of Parliament should be there.”

This speech will be one of the last times President Akufo-Addo speaks to Parliament before his term ends.
