Executive Director, Centre for Human security and peace building, Adib Sani has taken a swipe against the comment by DCOP Gabriel Waabu to exclude the services of the Military during the 2024 general election as it’s been arranged by the Police service as unfortunate.
Speaking in a media interview, Mr Sani revealed that in as much as the comment is unfortunate, certain comment should not get to the public domain to create bad energy amongst the security services especially in the election season.
He is of the view that, there were so many ways the Police Service could have solve this issue rather than condemning it in the public domain.
He further urged the authorities to call for a meeting to solve the issue amicably in order not breach the confidence between the security services in the country. Mr. Saani is optimistic that the police and the Military can still work together to ensure peace in the country before, during, and after the election.
