Former General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) Nana Yaa Akyinpim Jantuah has described Vice President Dr. Bawumia as an “unfit person” to be President of Ghana.
According to her, Dr. Bawumia saying he is just a mate to the government undermines what the constitution says about his office.
“The fact that the Vice President wants to run away from his duties as stated in the constitution and decides to be an ordinary driver’s mate confuses me”.
“The constitution has stated clearly the duties of the office of the Vice President to help develop the country but it seems Bawumia has just limited that office to a trotro mate, he doesn’t know what he’s doing, how can such a person be President of Ghana? This is not what Dr. Kwame Nkrumah fought for” she told Emmanuel Martey (Alaska De Don) on ‘Simpieso’ on Wednesday 14th February, 2024.

Reacting to the reshuffle of ministers by President Akufo-Addo, the Former CPP General Secretary said the NPP government is just toying with Ghanaians.
“This NPP government is an F9 government and the reshuffle confirms it, you’ve waited for this long to do a reshuffle and you replaced Ken Ofori-Atta as the Finance Minister with Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, what economy has Dr. Amin Adam managed before?” She quizzed on Ahotor Fm.
