Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has indicated that, his party will not support the Electoral Commission (EC) to change the election date from December 7 to November 7.
According to him, even the Minority leader Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has clearly articulated his position of none support of the constitutional changes required to enable this to happened.
He cautioned the Electoral Commission that it is still hunkers after also disenfranchising section of our population at all cost through the use of only Ghana cards as only means of identification for registration then they must better stop that idea because the NDC will not allow it to happen.
Speaking to party folks in Volta regional capital Ho as he tours the area with his building the Ghana we want agenda, the Former President said, the Ghana card is a relatively new feature of our national line and has its merits in the scheme of things.
According to John Mahama the Ghana card has been brandish more as a political tool at the moment around which all manner of schemes has been fashion towards the elections.
