Millennium chef Smith a native of Tema in the Greater Accra region is in the quest to set a new Guinness world record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
Chef Smith has cooked for 200 hours as of noon on the ninth day out of 34 days which is 816 hours which is scheduled to end on 6 March 2024.
Chef Smith attempts to go beyond the chef’s Faila records and that of Ugandan chef Dorcas.
Chef Smith’s attempts to break this record started on Thursday 1st February 2024.
Speaking to his management, they said “Chef Smith is fit to cook due to the preparation done by the team. The medics are around to ensure that he and his assistant are fine.
The police personnel frequents the venue periodically to ensure smooth progress and protection of activities.
