The Ashanti regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi has proposed a presidential debate between Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and former President John Dramani Mahama.
Chairman Wontumi said the debate would provide clarity on the capabilities of both candidates ahead of the December polls
“I own Wontumi TV in Kumasi. I own Movement TV in Accra. I own Western Diamond in Takoradi. I eagerly anticipate a debate between Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and John Dramani Mahama, where they can articulate their achievements and aspirations,” he stated.
Chairman Wontumi said Ghanaians have moved on from mere rhetoric and propaganda.
“Mere rhetoric and propaganda are insufficient. We need substantive discussions. Hence, I am calling for a debate between Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and John Dramani Mahama on our networks. This will allow Ghanaians to make informed decisions”.
