The ‘Omo Ope’ hit-maker Asake has enjoyed massive marketable success through a string of hit releases and two albums that him to zoomed superstar status.
Asake emerged as the winner of the Best African act in the 2024 MOBO Awards, beating other Nigerian superstars such as Adekunle Gold, Davido, Rema, Ayra Starr, Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Rema.
Also in the category were South African Tyla, Cameroonian-American Libianca, and eSwatini artist Uncle Waffles.
He wasn’t the only Nigerian who won at the 2024 MOBO Awards as Afro-gospel hitmaker Limoblaze won the best gospel act.
