Member of Parliament for Tema West constituency in the Greater Accra region, Hon Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah is calling on the leadership of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to reconsider bringing back the former minister of trade and industry, Hon Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen into the party.
According to him, failure to do so may risk the fortunes of the elephant party.
He indicated that, Alan has been his boss before and he knows what the man is capable of doing when it comes to politics hence his call.
According to Carlos Ahenkorah, he cannot deny Alan Kyeremanteng no matter what the circumstances may be.
Speaking to the media as NPP battles to win the upcoming general elections, the Tema West MP indicated that, the party should not forget Alan has been a main contender to President Akufo Addo before and has his footprint in all the constituencies across the country.
The former trade and industry minister part ways with the NPP to form the Movement for Change party after what they described as unfair behavior in the party against him after the party’s super delegates conference last year.
Hon Ahenkorah said now the Movement for Change led by Alan Kyerematen has pitched Ashanti region as their capital and that is where the NPP is also looking up to win the 2024 elections.
“We want to break the 8, we need 2 million votes from the same region they have pitched as their capital” he said.
