It’s been close to a year since Gervonta “Tank” Davis mounted the ring.
His last fight was a seventh round knock out win against Ryan Garcia in a non-title bout which took place at a catch-up weight of 136 Ibs on April 22, 2023 at the T-Mobile arena in Paradise Nevada(America).
However, rumors have it that the 29 years old American boxer is planning to fight in the UK this summer.
According to the story from Ring TV which has also been confirmed by other sources, his opponent is yet to be announced.
This is going to be the second time the undefeated (29-29-27k.o) WBA lightweight champion will fight in the UK, his first was against Britain’s Liam Walsh back in May 2017 to retain his IBF 130 pounds title in London.
“Tank” now named Abdul Wahid after changing religion to become a Muslim recently, in a video talks of a possible return on March 30th with his opponent likely to be fellow American Frank Martin also known as the “Ghost” in a BBC’s first PPV event with Amazon Prime.
