Stephen Appiah will be a Good Team Manager for Black Stars – Former Kumasi Mayor Hon. Kojo Bonsu

Who is a team manager in Ghana and his roles in the team? In Ghana the team manager is seen differently from the rest of the world.

For further clarification a team manager is supposed to be very close to the coach and oversees the welfare of the players.
Academic and Professional sports afternoon edition hosted by General OPOKU ALOKEE got more intellectuals from a former team manager and a former boss for national sports Authority, Hon. Kojo Bonsu.

 
He was asked by General OPOKU ALOKEE who a team manager is and Hon Kojo Bonsu said “the word team manager tells you what it means”. The former mayor for Kumasi went further to explain more “Everything concerning the team is your responsibility as a team manager but not filling forms”, “you have to organize everything like bus for training, hotels for camping, discussing menu with coach and dietician, this are some things you do as a team manager and not what we see in Ghana nowadays.

 
General OPOKU ALOKEE host of Academic and Professional sports afternoon edition asked the former mayor if it’s a good call for former black stars captain Stephen Appiah to be giving the mandate as a team manager.

 
“I think Stephen Appiah appointment will be a good one from what he has done as a player and a skipper for the stars”.
