Former General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) Nana Yaa Akyempim Jantuah has told government that, they cannot use the Electoral Commission to create confusion in the country.
According to her, there will be an incompetency on the side of the Electoral Commission if they come out with such proposal in an election year. She said they should have proposed that earlier for discussions.
Speaking on Adekye Nsromah, the Political Analyst said the December 7 for elections in the country is a constitutional provision hence if there is anything to go by, we need more time for discussions before its implementation.
She said she has heard of December 7 been former president and the flagbearer of the NDC John Dramani Mahama’s birthday hence he will win the elections.
She responded the EC deputy for saying they thought about this four years ago and has done all the consultations.
According to her, IPAC members are complaining so who are the stakeholders they had the discussions with, she asked.
