The residents of kpone Katamanso Municipal Assembly in the greater Accra region have expressed their worries over how poor state of roads in the municipality is negatively affecting their transportation and socio- economic activities.
The residents in a random interview with Chantel Naa Ayiku of Ahotor newsroom expressed their frustration over the continuous neglect of the road in the community by successive governments for many years.
In an interview with some citizens in the community especially those in the society said their children were not able to go to school wherever it rained as roads floods,
A seller call Maame Ama said during dry season, they inhale a lot of dust from road which is harmful to their health and also all the gutters get flooded whenever it rains and it disturbs them a lot.
A student in the community also said due to bad roads within the municipality, most students are unable to go to school especially raining season.
speaking to a driver, he stated that, due to the bad nature of the road, drivers spend a lot on spare parts than their sales. “And even due to the road we are unable to get people like we use to so we are pleading with the government to help fix the road” he added.
