Former President John Dramani Mahama asserts his confidence in winning the 2024 general elections, vowing not to resort to the Supreme Court for an election petition, as he had done in 2020.
Mr Mahama, whose 2020 petition was dismissed, declares that the fate of the 2024 elections will be determined at the polling stations, emphasizing the NDC’s triumph.
During his tour of the Volta Region, specifically in Dzodze of the Ketu North constituency on Friday, January 12, Mahama, the NDC flagbearer, addresses the need for a significant change in Ghana.
He criticizes the current government, describing it as “reckless,” “incompetent,” “clueless,” and “useless,” asserting that Ghanaians have endured enough.
In his statement, Mahama expresses determination, stating, “We will not sleep until Madam Jean Mensah has the unpleasant duty of naming the NDC as the winners of the 2024 elections.
Whether the electoral officers like it or not, they will have to declare the NDC winners, by the grace of God (Insha Allah).”
Highlighting his commitment to the electoral process, Mahama declares, “Somebody says if anybody loses, they should go to the Supreme Court. I’m not going to the Supreme Court because I’m not going to lose.
Maybe that person will go to court. Elections are going to be decided at the polling station and the coalition center. That is where NDC is going to win. We won’t go to the Supreme Court again because we will not get justice there.”
