Assemblyman for Dade Agbo electoral area in Tema East constituency has indicated that the parliamentary candidate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Hon Yohane Amarh Ashitey knows the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the area and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Isaac Ashai Odamtten will beat him in the upcoming general elections.
The two candidates vying to win the Tema East come 2024 have all been in the Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) before to serve the people of Tema.
Speaking to Onokwafo Yaw Asiedu of @Ahotoronline.com, the Assemblymember said that Yohane himself knows that, when it comes to the mayorship, Hon Isaac Ashai Odamtten has done it better 0f 200% more than him.
According to him, when it comes to politics, it’s time and season and if your time is not up, there is nothing you can do.
Since Hon Ashai Odamtten took over the MP ship, he has not done anything wrong that we need to change him but rather, he has introduced new flagship programs that are helping the people in various communities and the constituency as a whole.
Backing his claim, he mentioned some policies introduced by the MP in the constituency including back-to-school projects, aged support, and others.
According to the Assemblyman, even though the NDC is in opposition, the MP is trying his best to bring happiness to his constituents therefore, why must we change him and bring someone else, he added.
