Certified Economist Bernard Oduro Takyi (BOT) has taken a swipe at President Akufo-Addo for commending the Bank of Ghana for its role in maintaining the stability of the cedi against the US dollar.
Speaking at the BoG 2023 end-of-year cocktail event in Accra, the President applauded the Central bank’s efforts in ensuring what he termed a sound financial system in the country.
But reacting to this with the Ahotor Business Desk, Mr. Oduro Takyi said the country’s finances have dwindled ever since the NPP came to power.
He urged the handlers of the President to treat him with care so he wouldn’t be speaking like a serial caller of the NPP at events.
Mr. Oduro Takyi believes the President’s comments were just to clear the name of the BoG Governor Dr. Ernest Addison.
