Road diversion at Tema Motorway roundabout

The Ghana Highways Authority (GHA) has announced that there would be temporary road diversions of adjoining roads at the Tema motorway roundabout beginning Sunday April 30, 2017.

This is to enable the contractors working on the Tema motorway roundabout improvements, move into the second phase of the project on the Akosombo to Harbour approach road.

The GHA has therefore advised motorists to note that all vehicles passing through the Tema Motorway roundabout, from Accra, Akosombo or Aflao moving to Tema Harbour would be diverted to use the hospital road and hospital link road as alternate routes to join the main Harbour road at the Total Filling Station.

The Hospital Road on its part would be used as one way only from the Tema Roundabout to Hospital Link.

According to the GHA, there will be slow movement along the Akosombo-Roundabout Road due to the ongoing road expansion works.

The second phase is expected to last for three months and the GHA has advised the general public, motorists and pedestrians to heed to the diversion signs and give their maximum cooperation.
