THE REMAINING 27 SCHOOLS CURRENTLY SERVING AS SHELTERS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING SOON—– GES
The Volta regional education directorate said processes are being put in place to relocate individuals displaced by the Akosombo Dam spillage who are currently occupying schools.
This moves aims to facilitate the reopening of these educational institutions.
Out of 108 schools within the affected communities 81 have already resume the academic activities.
The Volta Regional director of education Francis Yaw Agbemedi stated that the remaining 27 schools currently serving as shelters will be available for teaching and learning ones the affected individuals are successfully relocated.
Mr. Agbemedi also stressed the need for uniforms and learning materials for pupils and students in the areas affected by the spilled Dam.
