The 1978 African Cup of Nations winner of Ghana, Alhaji Mohammed Ahmed affectionately called Mohammed Polo “the dribbling Magician ” has cautioned the handlers of the Ghana National team the Black Stars to be careful on their decision to sack the Black Stars head coach.

In an interview, Mohammed Polo emphasized that there are more problems in the all the national teams and conscious efforts needs to be taken to solve these problems rather than sacking the Black Stars head coach .

“The decision lies with them , i don’t think its the right thing to do because when we talk about the under -17, under-20, CHAN team, and the Black Stars itself, we saw what happened to us at the last World Cup. It was not the best because we were kicked out from the preliminary stage, we are having challenges and we have to look for the solutions but if i can advise the FA , i don’t think its the right thing to do.”

Mohammed Polo was a member of the Black Stars that won the 1978 African Cup of Nations and won the Ghana Football Association Footballer of the year in 1975.

He was also appointed as the manager for Accra Hearts of Oak and Accra Great Olympics.
