Former President John Dramani Mahama decisively leadership the cancellation of the Teacher Training Allowance and Nursing Training Institute, with the collective idea and decision to create a system where more intakes to these institutions to create room for more nurses and teachers to manage our hospitals and schools which are in high demand at all levels.
This action taken by the former president speaks to the fact that he and his National Democratic Congress is a party that has Ghanaians at heart for development as against the New Patriotic Party which wins power to loot the country.
The past decision he took on the allowances of these institutions caused him a political adverse effect on the students and the government is worse now since the government is not in a position to pay the allowances they promised in their campaign.
The Former Ambassador to India, Hon. Sam Pee Yalley, discloses this on Adekye Mu Nsem’s morning show on Ahotor 92.3 FM hosted by Citizen Kofi Owusu in Accra.
Reacting to the statement of the state of roads in the Western Region by Chief of Nsein traditional area in the Western Region Awulae Agyefi Kwame; Sampee Yalley said it’s very unfortunate and disheartening where a region endowed with all the natural resources state of roads is in deplorable shape.
He is of the view that the roads throughout the country are in terrible shape and unmotorable coupled with illegal mining in our forest reserves destroying our water bodies in the Western Region; where the president has no solutions to all these major problems affecting the region.
Touching on the Office of the Special Prosecutor clearing the former deputy minister of the state Ministry of Finance, Charles Adu Boahen, said is very unfortunate, that the office OPS has turned to another clearing office, in his opinion the office is another refinery office for corruption.
Charges like extortion, entrapment, and sting operatives level against this minister with glaring evidence of money exchanging hands for the OSP to deal with the case with due diligence, it turns out to be another political trial of clearing all top government appointees that appears at his office.
He opined that he joins the NDC in rejecting this report full of inconsistencies and baseless legal conclusions that do not seek to address the criminal intent to steal the state.
Hon. Sam Pee Yalley condemned the military brutality at Garu as unfortunate and barbaric where the relationship between the military and the civilian population is very bad. This military clash between communities and the youths is becoming too much.
Ashiaman and now Garu are very unfortunate and he calls for a proper investigation into this act to bring the perpetrators to book.
