KK Fosu advises musicians to prioritize creating timeless songs to avoid losing relevance.

KK Fosu, a Ghanaian Highlife musician, believes that the internet has made it easier for people worldwide to access music.

Due to this, musicians in Ghana must now concentrate on creating timeless songs that will remain relevant in the long run. KK Fosu made such a comment on the Accra-based UTV showbiz programme.

He says the era of fast-food music is over and warns artists to take responsibility for their work.

”As a musician, it is essential to be knowledgeable in both commercial and evergreen music. In today’s music industry, many artists are driven by the desire for wealth and fame, unlike the pioneers who focused on creating evergreen songs

It’s a fact that artists like Amakye Dede command higher fees than most of us. As a musician, you need to learn when to release your music and when not to. Following trends blindly can lead to a quick decline in popularity as trends are fleeting.”
