Tems is prepared to pursue a career in the acting industry.

Nigerian singer, Tem said she is ready to take another step into acting.

Speaking with BBC Capita Xtra London, the multi-talented  Tem public her interest in the movie industry

According to her, she is already good at acting, Tems detailed that she knows what kind of character she wants to play.

In her words, “I’m ready to act in movies. Not ready right now, but I’m already good at acting. The first character I would love to play is a single mum. It doesn’t need to be struggling. It could be like a fun single mum or a single mum that has mysteries. A gangster.”

It is worth mentioning that Tems, who is yet to make her acting debut, has been nominated for an Oscar for her songwriting abilities. She collaborated on the song ‘Lift Me Up’ with Rihanna, which was included in the soundtrack of the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).

The first Nigerian artist to earn an Oscar nomination is responsible for writing an emotional track for the movie “Black Panther”. In an interview with Power 105.1, the singer revealed that she collaborated with Ryan Coogler and Ludwig Göransson to bring the song to life. The creative team already had some lyrics in mind, but they worked together to finalize the song’s direction.

Tems has become the first Nigerian female singer to earn a Grammy award for her contribution to  Future’s  ‘Wait For U’, the first Nigerian artist to debut at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, and has won three  BET awards Since appearing on Wizkid’s mega-hit ‘Essence.’
