The undemocratic political vigilantism must be checked and worked on by all political parties and democratic civil societies’ organization to protect freedom of speech without fear.
Lawyer and former Member of Parliament of Akwatia Baba Jamal was speaking to the, incident that happens over the weekend at UTV live show programme where political parties’ thug invading the programme was very unfortunate and bizarre.
The leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Hon. Baba Jamal makes this call on the Simpieso political show on Ahotor FM 92.3 in Accra.
Speaking on the same show on Ahotor FM, the Director of operations for ADAM GH Mr. Ibramhim Mumuni, disclose that, on the 17th of October the civil societies are going to demonstrate and picket at the police headquarters under the theme “Who is next demonstration”.
This he reiterated saying, the innocent people that were killed in the 2020 election was never brought to book and there is the need for the citizen to draw the attention of the police, never again should we recorded any death in our elections.
He further stated that, this demonstration will be repeated against the judiciary and the electoral commission to demonstrate high confidence in the dispensation of their duties devoid of any form of prejudice.
