Basketmouth, the comedian, recently made amends with his colleague AY Makun after years of feuding.

The relationship between the two comedians has been tense for over a decade.

Legendary Nigerian comedian Bright Okpocha, also known as Basketmouth, appears ready to reconcile with individuals he has offended, including AY Makun.

The comedian uploaded a video to his Instagram account on Oct 2, 2023, apologizing for any past offences.

He apologized to fellow comedian AY Makun and asked for forgiveness. Basketmouth also forgave AY for his transgressions against him.

He said, “To my guy AY I don’t know if my apology is still valid right now but if it is please forgive me for whatever I have done or said in the past that affected you in any way please forgive me. And I want you to know that I have forgiven you for whatever you did or said knowingly or unknowingly, it’s gone and I just want us to live in peace and harmony.”

He apologized to those he may have offended over the years without admitting or denying any allegations.

“Now to all the people in the industry and beyond that I have offended over time knowingly or unknowingly I say this to you right now from the bottom of my heart I am genuinely sorry please forgive me and to the people who would have accused me of doing things that affected their career in one way or the other I’m not going to accept or deny these allegations God knows the truth but regardless please forgive me I beg you from the bottom of my heart,” he added

It’s great news that AY and Basketmouth have finally reconciled after their long-standing feud. According to AY, it all started over a sum of N30,000, but Basketmouth later revealed that it was actually due to AY’s breach of loyalty, which he couldn’t tolerate.

In a recent interview, AY mentioned that he is uninterested in reconciling with Basketmouth. He explained that he had already tried to reconcile with him, but it was unsuccessful. AY seems comfortable with the idea of not reconciling, and he hasn’t yet responded to Basketmouth’s video.
