New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has charged party delegates not to be swayed by money and intimation ahead of the November 4 elections.
Hon Agyapong after picking number 1 on the ballot paper ahead of the elections called on contestants and their supporters to abide by the rules and regulations put in place by the Election Committee.
Speaking to the media after the balloting, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central constituency in the Central region said he is satisfied with the process so far but going forward, some may try to ignore the rules and do what they think is right which he advised them saying, ‘they need unity in the party’.
According to him, it is a clear indication that, he has been chosen by God to lead the NPP party. If you believe in the bible, everywhere we go Kennedy Agyapong is number 1, he said.
In his expectations, he said he is the grassroot man and the people really like him hence, there is an assurance that, the people will vote for him to lead the party come 2024.
“I’m pleading with the delegates that the signs are clearly written on the wall that, if you vote for Kennedy Agyapong, he will definitely lead this country and break the 8” he said.
In conclusion, the grassroot man said he has been fighting for the grassroots and know for sure that, they will give him victory come November 4.
The Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia picks number 2 on the ballot whiles Hon Owusu Afriyie Akoto and Hon Francis Addai Nimoh picks 3and 4.
