Donny van de Beek may have to decide on his fate at Manchester United before the transfer window close.
Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek may well make a move to the French league this summer and it has emerged a deal has been agreed for the player’s exit.
The Dutch midfielder has had an unfortunate time with injuries since Erik ten Hag took over, he suffered a serious injury against AFC Bournemouth in January and was ruled out for months.
FC Lorient have agreed a loan deal with United for Van de Beek but it is unclear if there is an option to buy in, the club’s agreement for the former Ajax midfielder.
The midfielder joined United for £35 million back in the summer of 2020 but he was never really given a run of games under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
He was shipped out on loan to Everton but he still struggled. He will now seemingly depart Old Trafford.
The problem for Van de Beek was that the attacking midfielder ahead of him was a relentless, almost inevitable, star in Bruno Fernandes.
The United fan base believed that the Dutchman could have lined up in the pivot but it never seemed likely he could excel in this area.
