(VOICE): Enforce our condition of services or else – BTU chapter of TUTAG threatens Vice-Chancellor
The Bolgatanga Technical University (BTU) Chapter of the Technical University Teachers’ Association of Ghana (TUTAG) has stated that it will only halt the ongoing strike once the university’s Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Samuel Alnaa enforces the conditions of services in line with the practices followed by the other Technical Universities.
The groups claim the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Samuel Alnaa, is seeking to vary portions of their retirement benefits against the approval by the Ministry of Finance. They also alleged ambiguities in the Technical Universities Act (2026), Act 922 as amended.
Dr. Osward Atiga chairman of the Bolgatanga Technical University (BTU) Chapter of the Technical University Teachers’ Association of Ghana (TUTAG) has indicated that if the upcoming meeting with the Vice-Chancellor does not lead to a resolution, they will continue their strike.
