Former Manchester United player Fred confirms Altay Bayindir’s move to former club.
Ex Manchester United midfielder Fred has surprised many by appearing to confirm Altay Bayindir’s move to the Red Devils.
Turkey keeper Bayindir is on the brink of replacing Crystal Palace – bound Dean Henderson as Andre Onana’s No2 at Old Trafford.
And although the move has yet to be completed, Fenerbahce team-mate Fred revealed he has wished the stopper
good luck at United .
Bayindir is understood to be in Manchester following a medical as he finalises a transfer costing the Red Devils around £4.3million.
“I wished Altay good luck when he left. He is going to join a great team ,Altay will be very happy at Manchester United.”
He appeared to wave goodbye to fans after being an unused sub as Fenerbahce beat Twente 5-1 in the Europa Conference League.
Manchester United need a new back-up keeper as Henderson is closing on a switch to Palace for a £15m fee plus £5m add-ons.
