Nigerian actor, Chinedu Ikedieze and half of the Aki and Pawpaw duo, Chinedu Ikedieze has revealed that he is often described as ‘uneducated’ because of his movie roles.
He made this exposure in a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideownwo on the With Chude podcast.
According to him, the roles he plays in movies make people perceive him as an uneducated person.
He discredited those reports and shared the story of his upbringing and how her mother made sure that he had a formal education because of his stature.
Ikedieze has featured in over 150 films in a career straddling over 20 years with his role as a kid in most movies due to his stature and physical appearance.
He said, “Due to the wayward roles I play in movies, some people think I’m uneducated. My mother told me that I had to go to school and study hard to become successful because I could not become a carpenter or a bricklayer because of my stunted growth.”
He has a Higher National Diploma (HND) in theater arts, as well as a degree in Mass Communication from the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu.
