Medeama’s head coach, Ibrahim Tanko, has credited tactical changes at halftime for his team’s comeback 2-1 win over Berekum Chelsea. Trailing 1-0 at the break, Medeama dominated possession and created chances but failed to score.
Tanko revealed that a halftime discussion and double substitution sparked the revival. “We spoke to the players and made two changes. I think the team responded well to the changes we made, and we deservedly got the goals,” he said.
“We controlled the game in the first half. We won many duels and second balls, created chances, but unfortunately, we could not score. The goal against us was also a result of our mistake.” – Ibrahim Tanko
Medeama leads the league with 26 points, two points clear of their nearest challengers. They face Bibiani GoldStars in Matchday 14 at DUN’s Park.
