Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has praised the Girls’ Brigade Ghana for its remarkable growth from humble beginnings to becoming a strong force shaping the lives, values, and future of young girls across the nation.

Speaking at the 70th Platinum Jubilee Celebration of the organization at the Rev. Peter Kwesi Dagadu Memorial Methodist Church in Osu, the Vice President emphasized the crucial need for society to pay greater attention to the welfare, development, and empowerment of girls.
She described the Girls’ Brigade as a transformational institution that, over the past seven decades, has “done a beautiful and impactful job in nurturing discipline, leadership, morality, and confidence in Ghana’s girls.”

Professor Opoku-Agyemang noted that following the footsteps of Christ, the foundation upon which the Brigade is built, is both “a noble and challenging task,” but one the organization has upheld with dedication, consistency, and grace.
She commended the leaders, patrons, alumni, and current members of the Brigade for their unwavering commitment to service, community impact, and spiritual growth.
She further encouraged them to continue championing initiatives that protect young girls, promote education, and build strong moral character.
