Flagbearer hopeful of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hon Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has indicated that there is no way his party will be praised after taking the dollar from GHC4 to GHC12 as of today.
According to him, he has never said anywhere that the NPP is incompetent but rather he criticized those in charge of the affairs of the country.
Speaking in an interview monitored by Ahotoronline.com, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the good people of Assin Central constituency in the Central region said his strategist criticism was on his colleague Hon John Kumah who is a deputy finance minister and MP for Ejisu and not to the vice president Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia.
He said the minister came to parliament telling them that, the country is not going to IMF as the NPP continue to be in power but less than 24 hours after his pronouncement, we went back to the IMF for help and that same person will tell delegates to vote against Kennedy Agyapong.
He called on delegates to vote wisely if they want the party to remain in power after the 2024 general elections because the flagbearer must have a message for Ghanaians to buy.
