Oloboi Commodore: Attram’s incompetence led to Tom Strand appointment
General Manager of Great Olympics Oloboi Commodore has descended on the technical team of the club, claiming their ineptitude prompted the appointment of Tom Strand.
A 2-1 defeat at home to Aduana Stars left the Dade lads in the bottom three of the table after collecting just ten points from their opening ten games.
Their poor run led to the club’s management to relegate coach Godwin Attram to a deputy role and hire Swedish trainer Tom Strand on a two-year deal to help turn round the fortunes of the club.
A section of the club’s supporters are clamouring for the beleaguered Attram to stay on as head coach and threatened to chase the new coach out should he step on their training ground.
Nevertheless, Oloboi says failure to churn out results precipitated their decision to demote the technical bench and appoint the former Medeama coach.
‘It’s clear for everyone to see that we are struggling. There is a clear indication of incompetence on the part of the technical team and even some of the players so we decided to bring Tom to help out but it seems the decision did not go down too well with him,’ Oloboi told Happy FM.
