Mark Adu Amofah desires to give back to society through A A International Foundation.
Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Liberty Professional player Mark Adu Amofah has revealed that sports especially football is a gateway out of poverty in Africa and efforts are much required to develop potential talents
Mark Adu Amofah recounted his intention at the Alisa Hotel in Accra where he launched A A Sports International to help to unearth young football talents and give other opportunities to the less privileged ones.
“It was not a journey through countries but a journey that took me out of poverty and changed my mindset, I wish to give back to society, and with two mates of mine, we want to provide an avenue for footballers through education, scouting, scholarships, welfare,e, etc all over the country.”
The ex-footballer who has also been in the United States Military for some years, using himself as an example recounted how football paved the way for him to get other opportunities from his humble beginnings at Ashaiman, Tema, Dansoman, Kumasi, etc.
Adu Amofah who played for Real Sportive, Liberty Professionals, and Asante Kotoko before leaving Ghana asked all stakeholders to join hands in helping this project to succeed saying he will need help from the FA especially as well as the PFAG and all to further contribute his quota in building better foundation and development for our sports sector.
